Meet Our Founder
Sheila Jercich spent more than 30 years in education — primarily as a school psychologist, and in district and special-education leadership roles along the way — before founding her own practice. Across those years with local districts, she saw the same problem again and again: students with unique learning needs facing long waits for the evaluations that would help them, while districts struggled to find experienced psychologists. SJ Signature Consulting was built to close that gap.
SJ Signature Consulting was founded in 2023.
As the founder of SJ Signature Consulting, Sheila Jercich provides Illinois school districts and cooperatives with psychoeducational evaluations, assessments, and consultation across the full range of ages — Early Childhood through Transition. Over her career she has worked with numerous districts to evaluate and support students with diverse learning needs, and she continues to practice in the field today.
Sheila Jercich is not just a School Psychologist, but also someone deeply committed to delivering culturally and comprehensively responsive services to students with diverse learning needs. Balancing her professional commitments, she's also a parent of an adult with special needs who benefited from tailored educational services from early childhood through the age of 23 when she graduated from her transition program.
